Start with the essentials
For many gatherings, ask whether the guest can attend and how many people are included in their reply. inviterLab's available RSVP fields can include name, email, attendance, and guest count; the host can configure labels and which fields are enabled or required.
- Will you be able to join us?
- How many guests are in your party?
- What name should we use for your reply?
Add event-specific questions only when needed
A meal-choice question is helpful when guests are choosing from options you will actually provide. A dietary requirements prompt can invite useful context. For a different event, a date field or a short message may be more relevant.
Supported RSVP input types include text, email, phone, number, longer text, select, radio, checkbox, and date. Choice fields use the options configured for that question.
- Which meal option would you prefer?
- Do you have dietary requirements we should know about?
- Is there anything you would like the host to know?
Keep the form manageable
Avoid collecting sensitive or unrelated information. Make the response deadline visible in the invitation, and check that required fields are genuinely needed. Custom forms support up to 30 fields; the built-in guest-count number field accepts values from 1 to 20.
